the peanut place…just plain nuts…

{September 23, 2007}   Hello world!

The beginning of this blog means that apparently I’ve found just a bit too much extra time on my hands–courtesy of those three loads of unwashed clothing on the laundry room floor and the sink full of dirty dishes…

Quite honestly, I haven’t anything smart, funny, or even slightly interesting to say.  But rather, I’ve fallen victim to the ‘Joneses’.    The few blogs I’ve read have been so inspiring that I just felt a need to create my own!

I have a wonderful family–at least that’s how I’m feeling at this exact moment.  My husband is in the military.  We have two daughters, Madisyn and Alyssa.  As well as our dog, Daisy, who was just freshly shaven this afternoon.  She is a yellow lab.  Though we have papers stating she is pure-bred, I seriously have my doubts.  At a mere 60 pounds or so, she doesn’t look like any of her friends in our neighborhood.  With a pin-shaped head and her small frame, I joke that she is like a fish–only growing as big as her surroundings.  As we live in a townhome, it’s nice that she didn’t grow as big as her friends.  With fur that is now a quarter of an inch long, she prances around like she’s beautiful, slinging her tail from one end of the room to the other.  She looks cute shaved down and it keeps my floors *somewhat* cleaner.  Less shedding=less vacuuming I have to do.  And that is always a good thing!
